The IAVCEI-IAG Volcano Geodesy Commission is working with the USA-based CONVERSE and MCS (Modeling Callaboratory for Subduction) communities to initiate a series verification and validation exercises. A virtual planning workshop on October 7-8 will develop exercise materials that will be distributed shortly thereafter. The exercises will evolve over several months, culminating in a discussion workshop planned for mid-2022, likely coinciding with the COV 2022 meeting in Crete. Participants come from across the globe including academic and observatory scientists with support from the IAVCEI/IAG Geodesy Commission, CONVERSE, and the Modeling Collaboratory for Subduction (MCS) communities.
