The Italian Association of Volcanology, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the University of Catania and the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth’s Interior have taken charge of the organization of the 5th Alfred Rittmann Conference, which will be held from 29 September to 1 October 2022 in Catania, again at the Monastero dei Benedettini di San Nicolò l’Arena.
Also for this fifth edition, the scientific contents of the Conference were defined through a “Call for Sessions” with which the volcanological community belonging to Universities, Research Bodies, Public Bodies of Territory Management, Civil Protection Structures, Associations was asked to propose sessions that cover multiple scientific topics of volcanological interest, favoring an approach to discussion that is as multidisciplinary as possible, including aspects of communication and dissemination.
